6 Buckhannon Locations: Free Naloxone (Narcan), Fentanyl Testing Strips and Training September 8th

BUCKHANNON – September 8th is Save a Life day, and all fifty-five counties in West Virginia are participating.
Six locations in Buckhannon will be providing Narcan training, free Nalaxone (Narcan) and fentanyl testing strips.
Naloxone (Narcan) is used in people of all ages if opioid overdose happens or has possibly happened. It is usually administered by a loved one or caregiver if they think opioid overdose has occurred.
Save a Life Day will take place Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and people can receive Narcan training, free Naloxone (Narcan) and fentanyl testing strips. Naloxone, also known as Narcan, is an opioid antagonist medication that can quickly reverse opioid overdoses.
