BUCKHANNON, WV - Evelyn Post, Director of WV Central Aging Services addressed Buckhannon City Council during the Thursday, July 7th meeting to follow-up on a request unanimously approved by the Consolidated Public Works Board last month, which was then referred to City Council.

The request entails parking concerns expressed by WV Central Aging Services and the potential addition of two handicap accessible and ADA-compliant parking spaces on the north side of N Spring Street to accommodate clients and employees who frequent the agency.

Further discussions ensued regarding the city's free parking lot across the street from the establishment (located behind China Wok), the potential of adding additional handicap parking spaces in that parking lot, paid parking arrangements the Agency previously had with the city and a recommendation by Councilor David W. McCauley to consider the implementation of a shuttle service.
