TENNERTON, WV - Buckhannon-Upshur High School is currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Agricultural Education Teacher (9-12) to join its successful program. With a supportive administration staff, an active FFA chapter, and a strong community and school support system, Buckhannon-Upshur High School is a great place to work.


The program boasts three classrooms, a school farm and forest, two greenhouses, and a mechanic shop. The school uses a semester block scheduling system, allowing teachers to focus on in-depth, hands-on instruction.


The active FFA chapter has over 300 members and offers courses in natural resources, mechanics, plant science, and agribusiness pathways.


The livestock marketing and forestry teams have competed nationally, and several students earn state and American FFA degrees each year.


With a 30-day extended contract, teachers have ample time to engage with students and develop meaningful educational experiences.
