Tennerton and Hodgesville Elementary School Counselor Suzanne Bohman addresses the Upshur County Commission on October 20th to proclaim Red Ribbon Week.

BUCKHANNON - During the October 20th Upshur County Commission meeting, Tennerton and Hodgesville Elementary School Counselor Suzanne Bohman read aloud a proclamation proclaiming October 24th through the 28th Red Ribbon Week in Upshur County.

Red Ribbon Week is intended to raise awareness regarding the negative effects of drug use, including alcohol.

"Encouraging citizens to participate in drug prevention education activities, making a visible statement that we are strongly committed to a healthy, drug-free state," Bohman stated from the proclamation
