BUCKHANNON - Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School will be closed on Monday, October 10th as Upshur County Schools continue school specific training for active shooter response for all of its county schools.

Staff are expected to attend the training session, but students will not attend school on the exercise day for their respective school.

The training is part of the ongoing effort to support the safety of the students and staff.

Upcoming scheduled dates for training:

October 10, 2022: Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School

October 13, 2022: Rock Cave Elementary School

October 17, 2022: Buckhannon-Upshur High School

October 28, 2022: Hodgesville Elementary School

November 4, 2022: Washington District Elementary School

November 7, 2022: Union Elementary School
