BUCKHANNON - Washington District Elementary School will be closed this Friday, November 4th as Upshur County Schools continue school specific training for active shooter response for all of its county schools.

Staff are expected to attend the training session, but students will not attend school on the exercise day for their respective school.

The training is part of the ongoing effort to support the safety of the students and staff.

Upcoming scheduled dates for training:

November 4, 2022: Washington District Elementary School

November 7, 2022: Union Elementary School
