WV State Inspections

STATEWIDE (Mountaineer News) - West Virginia is shaking things up in the world of vehicle inspections. Buckle up and get ready for the ride because the state is moving to a bi-yearly inspection schedule. Yep, you heard that right - now you'll only need to get your ride checked out every two years instead of every year. That's less time spent in the inspection line and more time hitting the open road! So, let's raise a glass of sweet tea to West Virginia for making life a little easier for us all.

A quick side note: The change in the state's vehicle inspection process includes an increase in the inspection fee from $14 to $19. While this may seem like a price hike, this move is expected to save drivers money in the long run.

The new legislation is set to go into effect on January 1, 2024.
