An urgent announcement has been released by the Upshur County Sheriff's Office.
There have been changes to the tax sale process for delinquent real estate taxes. The Sheriff will no longer have his annual tax sale which is usually held in mid-November. All delinquent 2021 real estate taxes must be paid by October 31, 2022 to avoid being certified (sold) to the state of West Virginia.
