Chief Matthew Gregory [Buckhannon Police Department] addresses Councilor David W. McCauley at the Buckhannon City Council Meeting on July 21st, 2022
BUCKHANNON - The latest Buckhannon City Council meeting was held at City Hall on July 21, 2022.
Given the recent break-in and vandalism at the Buckhannon Dairy Queen last week, Councilor David W. McCauley raised concerns and asked Chief Gregory his thoughts about potentially having a surveillance system installed downtown along Main Street.
City of Elkins Mayor, Jerry A. Marco was also in attendance and shared several crime prevention measures his city has implemented to-date, and encouraged Council to consider resourcing additional funds - if such a project were to transpire in Buckhannon - such as two grants his city recently received.
