BUCKHANNON – Today is Save a Life day, and all fifty-five counties in West Virginia are participating.
Six locations in Buckhannon and one location in Rock Cave will be providing Narcan training, free Nalaxone (Narcan) and fentanyl testing strips.
Naloxone (Narcan) is used in people of all ages if opioid overdose happens or has possibly happened. It is usually administered by a loved one or caregiver if they think opioid overdose has occurred.
Naloxone, also known as Narcan, is an opioid antagonist medication that can quickly reverse opioid overdoses.
All locations will be open at 10:00am through 6:00pm (or until supplies last). Receive Narcan training, free Naloxone (Narcan) and fentanyl testing strips.
