UCYB Spring '23 Clinic for Coaches, Parents to be Led by WVWC Coach Steve Warner

TENNERTON, WV - Upshur County Youth Baseball and Softball is currently seeking individuals with a passion to coach for their upcoming Spring '23 season.

UCYB announced that they will be offering clinics on Sunday afternoons to help any parent who wants to coach, but may not feel like they know baseball/softball well enough.

Coach Steve Warner from West Virginia Wesleyan College will lead the first clinic on Sunday, January 29th from 3-4:00pm at B-UHS.

Warner is one of the elite softball coaches in the NCAA Division II ranks, ranking fifth Nationally among active NCAA Division II coaches in victories with a 1133-426-2 record during his 30 years at WVWC. He won his 1,000th game in 2017 at the NCAA Division II World Series as his team finished third in the nation.

Current coaches are being asked to attend these clinics and ALL parents with kids in the league are highly encouraged to attend as well. This will be a great opportunity to learn from the local college and high school coaches.
