Upshur County Commission Announces Purchase of Property Along Chancery Street

BUCKHANNON, WV - The Upshur County Commission announced the purchase of 10 parcels of land along Chancery Street in proximity to the Courthouse and Annex during the January 5th meeting.

The parcels contain a total of four structures, which include residential homes, a multi-family apartment unit and a storage building; all of which are vacant.

The land was sold to Upshur County by Gary Evans and his family for $400,000.00. Evans will attend the January 12th Commission meeting to make a public statement.
