FAIRMONT, WV - On Saturday, March 11th, the North Central West Virginia Regional Spelling Bee was held at Fairmont State University. Participants from nine counties, including three from Upshur County, gathered to demonstrate their exceptional spelling skills.

According to a press release provided by Kayla Yocum (via the Upshur County Schools website):

"Three students competed in the North Central West Virginia Regional Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 11th. Congratulations to Ava Trent, Atlas Jenkins, and Sylas Knight, who represented Upshur County well! We are proud of our students, who continue to remain academically focused and persevere to achieve greatness!

Thank you to our families and Mrs. Daya Wright for supporting students on this journey to the regional Spelling Bee!"
