Upshur County Trails: Phase 1 at Holly Shed Trail Completed

TENNERTON, WV - The Upshur County Trails has been awarded a grant from the WesMonTy Resource Conservation and Development Project. Earlier today (January 29th), Phase 1 of the project was completed.

Six volunteers provided 24 total volunteer hours to add a 24-foot section of boardwalk to the Holly Shed Trail, just below the tennis courts. This new boardwalk addition will help reduce soil erosion in a wet section of the trail, making it more user-friendly and safe.

Phase 2 will see the addition of bridging to another area of the Holly Shed trail and a section of Crossings Trail. We'll keep you up-to-date as the trail phases progress...
