BUCKHANNON - Earlier this evening at Jawbone Park, Mayor Robbie Skinner thanked everyone who was involved with making the Dickens Christmas Festival and Buckhannon Christmas Parade a success.

Prior to the ceremonious tree lighting, which began at 6:30pm, Skinner issued an official proclamation:

"Christmas is arriving in Buckhannon tonight with the lighting of our official town Christmas tree," he said. With a countdown from the crowd led by our Mayor, the tree was lit for all to enjoy.
