STATEWIDE, WV - As of July 6, 2022, 4 statewide ballot measures were certified for the ballot in West Virginia in 2022.
On the Ballot:
Measure 1:
No Court Authority over Impeachment Amendment
Description: States that no courts have any authority over impeachment proceedings and that an impeachment judgment by the Senate cannot be reviewed by a state court
Measure 2:
Incorporation of Religious Denominations and Churches Amendment
Description: Authorizes the incorporation of religious denominations and churches
Measure 3:
Authorize Tax Exemptions for Vehicles and Personal Property Used for Business Amendment
Description: Authorizes the state legislature to exempt personal property (machinery, equipment, and inventory) used for business activity from ad valorem property taxes
Measure 4:
Legislative Approval of the State Board of Education Rules Amendment
Description: Requires the state's board of education to submit any proposed rules to the legislature to approve, amend, or reject
