BUCKHANNON - A West Virginia Wesleyan College December graduate recently presented at the 18th annual Shenandoah Undergraduate Mathematics and Statistics Conference at James Madison University.


Elizabeth Harvey ’22, of Cross Lanes, West Virginia, won second place in the Pure Mathematics Poster Session for her poster entitled “Lewis Carroll’s Triangle Problem.” The research was completed as part of a summer Research Experience for Undergraduates entitled “Discrete and Continuous Analysis in Appalachia.”


This REU was sponsored by the National Science Foundation and was held at Fairmont State University under the direction of Dr. Tom Cuchta and Dr. Bob Niichel.
