The Clock Tower Interior

- The Turret Clock -

We've finally reached the top of this wonderful historic Clock Tower. The majestic clock has facings on each side facing due north, south, east and west.

​

The dials are controlled by mechanisms mounted within the turret clock area, centrally located between the four clock facings, and the main controls to change the dial hands are located below the tower for ease of access.

​

If you've ever wondered how the clock faces illuminate at nighttime, you'll notice the slabs of plywood hanging behind each clock face. The panels contain three fluorescent light ballasts mounted triangularly and set on a timer.
